Myanmar Beyond the Headlines is initiated and funded by the European Union to support freedom of expression in Myanmar. 

The project depicts the situation in Myanmar through the voices of Myanmar journalists, artists, and citizens who are fighting for freedom, justice and human rights in the wake of the February 1st coup.

Building on perspectives from EU partners in Myanmar and in Europe, Beyond the Headlines aims to catalyse a reflection on how the international community can take concrete and constructive action to support Myanmar’s quest for genuine democracy, lasting peace and prosperity.
